Apple, Grapes, and Candied Walnuts Michigan Salad

Apple, Grapes, and Candied Walnuts Michigan Salad

Apple Grapes and Candied Walnuts Michigan Salad is popular in the United States. The Michigan salad is typically topped with dried cherries, blue cheese, and a vinaigrette dressing. Some recipes use dried cranberries instead of cherries, add other kinds of fruit such as apple or mandarin orange, omit or substitute the blue cheese, and/or add walnuts or pecans. My apple, red grapes and walnut salad has a bed of lettuce that is topped with apples and red grapes cooked in balsamic vinegar and brown sugar, and caramelised walnuts.
